From Grampy...

Kenzie spent an enjoyable afternoon upon meeting her Grammy and three other ladies from Auburn at the Four Seasons Olympic Hotel in Seattle. They all boarded the Sounder Train and headed south to arrive as scheduled at 4:50 PM in Auburn. There was a freight train in the near lane that obscured my sight when the Sounder pulled into the station. I stepped from the car and waited as I watched the Auburn passengers walk over the walkway toward the side where I was to meet everyone. The train pulled out and I continued to watch but I didn’t see anyone I recognized, let alone MacKenzie. As I was about to place a phone call Ronie and Phyllis came up behind me and said, “They didn’t get off the train”! Evidently Grammy, Kenzie and Irene were in the upper deck and in no great hurry but as Grammy faced the door to leave, it shut in her face. Well, good luck going to Sumner. I phoned her and was all set to travel to Sumner to recover these lost soles when Grammy’s passenger friends informed her that she could use her receipt for passage on a return bus to Auburn which would arrive at 5:24 PM. They all arrived safe and sound adding just one more item to the never ending list of Grammy and her adventuresome life away from Grampy. This time it wasn’t a lost car in a parking lot.
