Sassifrass

I typed this conversation as Little Missy started talking to me. She began, "Mom, Ama was acting like a Queen Bee getting me to do everything for her. Like 'Do This and Do That.' Queen Bees ask everyone to do everything for them."

I responded: "If she's a Queen Bee, what does that make you?"

Kenzie: "That makes me feel bad."

Me: "Aren't you a Queen Bee in the way that you act?"

Kenzie: "Yes! No, I'm a mermaid and a princess. I'm not a Queen Bee. Do I even look like a Queen Bee??? I have hands. Queen bees don't have hands. They have small little tiny hands so they can grab pollen because pollen is their protein. So they eat pollen for protein. They eat pollen for protein, Mom."

Me: "I don't think it's nice that you talk about Ama that way."

Kenzie: "Why?"

Me: "Because....[interrupted]"

Kenzie: "But she's acting like a queen bee. To me, she's acting like a queen bee. She was asking me to Shut the Door Please and Please Get Me Mason's Monkey and Please Shut The Door. That's what she said. So that's why I said she's acting like a queen bee, my dear mom. You're a dear mom. To me, you sound like a dear mom because you ask me everything, Mom. You ask me every question."
